Eye of the Collector Reports Strong Sales and Visitor Figures for its Fourth Edition

Eye of the Collector has reported record visitor figures for its fourth edition which took place in London between 26 - 29 June. Held at the Grade II listed Garrison Chapel within Chelsea Barracks, over 4000 people visited the fair. Works presented at the fair plus additional works are on view at eyeofthecollector.com until 30 July 2024.
Offering modern and contemporary art and design across a range of price points, Eye of the Collector reported strong sales to both existing and new clients during the run of the fair with highlights including:Zelouf & Bell’s Kimono with Peonies Jewellery Cabinet (2024), created especially for Eye of the Collector, sold for £128,000.
Two works by Ramiro Fernandez Saus offered by Long & Ryle, Song of the Forests and Song of the Seas, both 2024, sold for £18,000 each, created for Eye of the Collector.Alice Frey’s My Palette (Ma Palette), 1936, offered by Vendelmans, sold for £12,000.
Three works by Henrik Godsk, Vessel Collector, The Collector and Grace (all 2024), were sold for £13,400, £11,600 and £10,300 respectively by Vigo Gallery, Godsk created two of these works specifically for Eye of the Collector.Two Thomas Cameron works offered by Canopy Collections, Working from Home and Blue Hour (both 2024) were sold for £7,200 and £6,600.A range of seven amphorae offered by Ash & Plumb, created especially for Eye of the Collector, were sold, ranging in price from £1,500 to £6,800.
This edition of Eye of the Collector was a showcase for more international galleries and artists than ever before, providing them with a platform in the heart of London at the beginning of summer. A record number of international VIPs during the fair’s opening day were treated to a wide offering by the fair’s exhibitors, from exciting new talents to 20th and 21st century masterworks, resulting in sales in all categories.
